About this photo

The Quebec Health Insurance Card photo accepted by the RAMQ is a 50 by 70 mm portrait. Frame it so the head takes 49 to 56 mm of the 70 mm height. There is no upload step: the photo is handed in as a print with the paper application. Behind you: plain white or light grey or off-white, lit evenly so no shadow falls on the face or the wall. A photo taken at home with a phone is fine provided it meets these rules; ask someone else to take it at eye level. Neutral expression, eyes open, mouth closed, looking straight at the camera. Our service frames the Quebec Health Insurance Card photo to these measurements, cleans the background and checks it against the rules before any payment.
