About this photo
For a Chinese Passport the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China (consular service) uses an unusual 33 by 48 mm format, narrower and taller than the European size. Your head should measure 28 to 33 mm, set against a plain white background with your ears visible and no shadows. Abroad you upload the photo in the China Consular Service app, and the file must be a JPEG between 30 KB and 80 KB, far smaller than a phone photo, so you cannot simply upload the original picture. Thin glasses may stay on if the frames leave your eyes uncovered, but heavy frames should come off.
