About this photo

The Income Tax Department (via Protean eGov, authorised PAN agency) asks for an Indian PAN Card photo of 25 by 35 mm. Home photos are accepted when they follow the rules, so a well-lit phone picture taken by someone else works. Two recent colour photographs. The background must be plain white, evenly lit and free of shadows. The face takes 70 to 80 percent of the image, chin to crown. If you apply online (Protean online PAN (scanned upload)), the file must be as a JPEG, no larger than 20 KB. Upload your picture and we size it for the Indian PAN Card, replace the background and verify the proportions before checkout.
