About this photo
For a Canadian Veteran's Service Card photo, the Department of National Defence sets the print size at 50 x 70 mm. Neutral expression, eyes open, mouth closed, looking straight at the camera. Home photos are accepted when they follow the rules, so a well-lit phone picture taken by someone else works. Frame it so the head takes 31 to 36 mm of the 70 mm height. Online, Department of National Defence online application takes an upload as a JPEG. The background must be plain white, evenly lit and free of shadows. Upload your picture and we size it for the Canadian Veteran's Service Card, replace the background and verify the proportions before checkout.
