About this photo

The IRCC Passport Program asks for a Canadian Passport photo for a child of 50 by 70 mm. There is no upload step: the photo is handed in as a print with the paper application. Uniform lighting, no shadows, glare or flash reflections. Head height from chin to crown is 31 to 36 mm. IRCC requires a commercial photographer or studio and does not accept photos that are cropped, placed on a new background or otherwise altered. Behind you: plain white or light-coloured, lit evenly so no shadow falls on the face or the wall. From a phone picture we produce the Canadian Passport photo at this size and verify the framing against the IRCC Passport Program rules.
