About this photo

Spanish Passport / DNI photos are smaller than the usual European size: 26 mm wide by 32 mm high, portrait format, as set by the Dirección General de la Policía. That means the head measures roughly 22 to 26 mm, so a standard 35 by 45 print will not fit the form. Use a plain white or uniform light background and keep your expression neutral with your mouth closed and eyes open. Clear glasses may stay on if there is no glare and the frames leave your eyes visible. The photo should be recent and unedited, with even lighting and no shadows on your face.
