About this photo

The Service SA asks for a South Australian Proof of Age Card photo of 35 by 45 mm. Your head, chin to crown, should measure 32 to 36 mm on the print. Applicants pay the fee and have the photo taken at a Service SA centre; licence holders apply online reusing the licence photo. Behind you: plain white or light grey or off-white, lit evenly so no shadow falls on the face or the wall. There is no upload step: the photo is handed in as a print with the paper application. The Service SA takes your photo at the counter when you apply, so a photo of your own is usually not needed for this document. From a phone picture we produce the South Australian Proof of Age Card photo at this size and verify the framing against the Service SA rules.
