About this photo
For a TSA PreCheck photo, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) sets the print size at 51 x 51 mm. The Transportation Security Administration takes your photo at the counter when you apply, so a photo of your own is usually not needed for this document. The enrolment provider checks your ID, takes fingerprints and a photo and collects payment; no card is issued. Use a plain white background with nothing behind you and no shadow on the wall. There is no upload step: the photo is handed in as a print with the paper application. Head height from chin to crown is 36 to 41 mm. From a phone picture we produce the TSA PreCheck photo at this size and verify the framing against the Transportation Security Administration rules.
