About this photo

Applying through the Translink? The Northern Ireland Senior SmartPass photo it wants measures 35 by 45 mm. There is no upload step: the photo is handed in as a print with the paper application. A photo taken at home with a phone is fine provided it meets these rules; ask someone else to take it at eye level. The form is taken in person to a Translink bus or rail station with a countersigned passport-sized photograph. Frame it so the head takes 32 to 36 mm of the 45 mm height. A white or light grey or off-white background is accepted, as long as it is uniform and without pattern. From a phone picture we produce the Northern Ireland Senior SmartPass photo at this size and verify the framing against the Translink rules.
