About this photo

The Immigration Department of Malaysia (JIM) asks for a Malaysian Passport photo of 35 by 45 mm. Use a plain white background with nothing behind you and no shadow on the wall. If you apply online (MyOnline Passport), the file must be as a JPEG. No accessories on the face, ears or head. You can take it at home on a phone: have someone stand a couple of metres away at eye level rather than holding the phone yourself. The face takes 70 to 80 percent of the image, chin to crown. Our service frames the Malaysian Passport photo to these measurements, cleans the background and checks it against the rules before any payment.
