About this photo

An Irish Visa photo for the Immigration Service Delivery is 35 by 45 mm when printed. Home photos are accepted when they follow the rules, so a well-lit phone picture taken by someone else works. There is no upload step: the photo is handed in as a print with the paper application. A white background is accepted, as long as it is uniform and without pattern. Your head, chin to crown, should measure 32 to 36 mm on the print. Two identical photos, 35-38 mm by 45-50 mm, face 70-80 percent of the image, name and AVATS number on the back, not stapled. We crop your picture to the Irish Visa format, set the background and check the head size before you pay.
