About this photo
The Irish Travel Document photo accepted by the Immigration Service Delivery (ISD) is a 35 by 45 mm portrait. Head height from chin to crown is 32 to 36 mm. No filters, retouching or alteration of facial features. Applications are made with printed photos, so you need a physical copy rather than an upload. The background must be plain white or cream or light grey, evenly lit and free of shadows. Home photos are accepted when they follow the rules, so a well-lit phone picture taken by someone else works. Our service frames the Irish Travel Document photo to these measurements, cleans the background and checks it against the rules before any payment.
